Eddie, a Varsovian trio consisting of lead vocalist and the founder of the band Zofia Alka, bassist Emil Wilk-Mian, and drummer Maciej Siemiatkowski, first emerged in 2018 with their debut EP "Hshoushch". Right after that they started to appear on many local festivals and gigs, which eventually led them to play in the most famous club in Warsaw — “Stodoła”. The group draws inspiration from a wide variety of sources and combines elements of different musical genres which results in their original, characteristic sound. As “Direct Actu” described, the sounds of ukulele add sweetness to the music and give it a strong folk-like vibe. Combined with powerful and dark bass lines, their songs are easily recognizable. Even though all members come from different musical backgrounds, they still manage to get along very well and share mutual respect for each other’s preferred genres and art forms. Their style keeps evolving and all band members are open for new, unique ideas. Despite the fact that they’re all just coming out of age, they all take music very seriously. The band’s most obvious inspirations are alternative rock and Slavic folk music, as well as Polish pop from the 70s, Neue Deutsche Härte, and English indie rock.
