DREAMWORLD is the project of brothers Klaus (vocals, electronic drums, congas, cymbals, gong, synthesizer, and guitar) and Rolf Fichter (vocals, synthesizer, mellotron, vibraphone, flute, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass), two multi-instrumentalists from Freiburg (Germany) who play a synthesized music in the sequential and spacious progressive rock vein. They were leaders of Yatha Sidhra whose 1972 album "Meditation Mass" made an impact. In 1980 DREAMWORLD released "On Flight to the Light" and stated that the music "expresses a deep sensibility for fundamental human desires such as warmth, tenderness, happiness and love. DREAMWORLD wants to uncover beautiful things in ever-changing variations".
The tracks on the album range from acoustic vibrations to shimmering organ phrases. The flute drifts in over a wind effect, and dreamy piano and spacey synths form an ambient soundscape. There is even a four part symphony to close the album.
DREAMWORLD should appeal to the Krautrock fanbase with ethereal tranquil textures.
