Doyle Blackwood

American gospel singer and bandleader. Born August 22, 1911 in Ackerman, Mississippi, USA. Died October 3, 1974 in Hernando, Mississippi, USA. Father of singer [a=Terry Blackwood]. One of the original members of [a=The Blackwood Brothers Quartet] and was with the group from 1934-1942. Doyle was the manager of the Blackwood Brothers Record Shop in Memphis, distributor of religious records, sheet music and song books.
