Synthpop/disco band from Malmö, Sweden. Started as FKK Jugend in 1996, renamed to Diskodiktator in 1999 and released some 30 demos on cassette and CDr before the first debut album [r=611945] in 2002.
Johan released a demo tape at Arvikafestivalen a collection of songs written and recorded in less than a week. Entitled “Music For Porno” the cassette sold some 450 copies, most likely because of Johan being a member of S.P.O.C.K rather than the actual quality of the demo.
Swedish [l=Energy Rekords] then took on the band and released the second debut album [r=468289] in 2004. That album was later nominated for "Best Scandinavian Newcomer" at the 2005 Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards.
Several more or less official remixes have been done for bands from Swedish space age guru DiLeva (Di leva) to Gwen Stefani and 50 Cent as well as local electro acts as Lowe, Blunda and Elegant Machinery (Diskodiktator - Degraded Faces), among many others.
In May 2005, Diskodiktator founded the Electric Fantastic Sound label and since then he has spent more time promoting other bands than making his own music.
