Dimension 5

Dimension 5 was formed in 1989 by Kerry Palmer, Tony Davies and Graham Franklin, Tony left shortly before they released their first single Utopia in 1990 on Perception Records, and they had a further 3 releases before leaving the label. Dave Cousins became involved with the group and created D5 Records and released a further couple of records. During this time Charlie Clarke and Nick Wenham joined the group and Dave Cousins left taking D5 records with him, so Nick and Kerry started Intastella Records to release their music, ushering in the group's "Classic" era, during which 7 singles and one Album were released.

In 1997 Charlie and Nick left to form Hunab Ku.
Ian Khan joined and appeared on the group's last 2 singles on Interstellar Records and Blue Moon UK.
Dimension 5 relocated to Thailand in 1999 and released Second Phase with Christer Borge-Lund now as part of the group
On return to the UK in 2001 Dimension 5 went on a hiatus

Dimension 5 described their music as "space techno psychedelic trance" around the time of their debut album (Transdimensional) and cited Hawkwind, Gong, Tim Blake and Tangerine Dream as some of their major influences
