Destroy All Monsters formed in 1974 in Ann Arbor (Michigan), by Jim Shaw, Mike Kelley, and the couple of Cary Loren and Niagara. Starting as a noise group, they turned to a punk band by 1977. The group disbanded in 1985, but the original line-up got back together in 1995, and was playing gigs until 2017.
