Born December 20, 1922 in Toronto, Canada; died October 2, 1972 in Montreal, Canada, aged 49. Canadian singer, pianist, arranger and conductor. He was called the "English Frank Sinatra". Vaughan enjoyed a career in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Belgium, France, the Netherlands. He toured Europe with the Canadian Army Show when he was 20 years old, and was the singer with the Melachrino orchestra for a time. Vaughan also made some TV appearances with Peter Lind Hayes in the 1950's, and was a radio star in England from 1947 to 1949 with fellow-Canadian Bob Farnon.
