Decoy Avenue formed in North London in 1981, Frequently seen playing in the 1980’s at The Embassy Club, The Ad Lib Club,The Moonlight Club and many other venues in and around London from 1981 to 1984. Their most successful and most popular line up was with: Tony Kutner: Drums and Vocals, Martin Holleyoake: Bass and Vocals, John Varnava: Guitar, Martin Papier: Keyboards and Vocals, Peter Lancaster: Trumpet and Vocals They recorded a now very sort after single in May 1983 {"Stay, (You're The One)", b/w "Turn and Face"} , many other recordings of the band can be found and they had serious interest from EMI publishing, but split up before their full potential was realised. In recent times they have been on various compilation CD’s and have a very big interest in Japan
