    Das Hansen-Quartett

Das Hansen-Quartett emerged from Das Geller-Quintett, it was founded in 1950 in Cologne and was the best known and most booked German music ensemble in the 1950s. The founding members were the double bass player and leader Hans Blum (later known as the soloist under the stage name Henry Valentino), the guitarist Joe Menke and the two sisters Ursula and Ingetraud Maschke (later:Ingetraut Blum) who performed as Geschwister Olden. Due to the many fancy names created by record companies, it is no longer possible to clarify exactly how many recordings the Hansen Quartet actually sang on.
