In 2017 Vesa Vatanen "has withdrawn from the front of the amps to the production sanctum and remains in the circle as a creative force. There won't be a substitute, yet the amps remain the same."

In April 2020 the band became a trio again (founding members Vesa Ajomo, Jukka Rämänen and Petri Rämänen), has posted an announcement, and went on hiatus, while the album "Mathreyata", recorded in 2018-2019, was released on November 13 2020.

In 2022 new project called "Entheomorphosis" emerged with the following lineup: VA (Vesa Ajomo), LM (Lassi Männikkö), LK (Lauri Kivelä) and JPK (J-P Koivisto).

Dark Buddha Rising has posted several announcements teasing the project is still existing/alive: on August 29, 222; on April 2, 2023; and on January 14, 2024.
