Born in São Paulo, Brasil, Daniel Salinas is a conductor, pianist, arranger and producer. Worked with Iê-iê-iê/ Jovem Guarda (early Beatles influenced) movement, and created orchestral, soul/ jazz-tinged and electronic renditions of international standards and brazilian popular classics in the 1970s (also under the moniker Nostalgia Eletrônica Orchestra). His best known work, a version of "Also Sprach Zarathustra" ("Straussmania"), is influenced by Eumir Deodato's global hit of the same year (1973)
