In 2012, He released his debut single From Nowhere in 2012 via Turn First / Racquet Records (Croll's own imprint) as a digital download and limited 7" record. The From Nowhere (Baardsen Remix) was featured on a soundtrack of the video game Grand Theft Auto 5 on the in-game radio "Radio Mirror Park" which gained him a lot of popularity. From Nowhere was his hit single and gained massive popularity airplaying all over the U.K. in radios and charts and also received airplay in the US, reaching #36 on the Billboard Alternative chart. Dan Croll later on released his 2nd single Compliment Your Soul in March 2013, followed up by the release of In / Out in July 2013.

In 2014, he released his full debut LP Sweet Disarray in March 10, which had 12 tracks including all of his singles he released.

In 2015 he released his new single "One Of Us" and in 2016 he signed to Communion Music Label. And he released several more singles in 2016 with the new label.
Finally in 2017, he released his 2nd full-LP Emerging Adulthood in the 21st of July. Releasing a more production heavy album in a new studio in Atlanta Georgia.

After Dan has released 2 albums, he moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to continue his music career going for more opportunities there and a new place to settle. He did a couple solo concerts/festivals in 2018 and early 2019.
Mid to Late 2019, he got a new studio surprisingly along with a band to record and produce his third full-LP for him at Spacebomb Studios with producer Matthew E. White and The Spacebomb House Band recording and playing for the songs on the album. They finished and released the songs on the album as time went on in 2020, releasing 2 each of them one by one in album order from all of the songs compiling up as time went on from January 2020 to July 2020.
In August 21 2020, his third-LP Grand Plan was finally released all of the songs in album order. And the last 2 tracks on the album unheard previously that released along with the full album release.

Dan Croll did a couple live streams before and after his third album release in 2020, and he went to Spacebomb Studios where he recorded his third album Grand Plan and did a live stream playing most of the songs there from the album live with The Spacebomb House Band Later on in 2021, Dan Croll released "Grand Plan - Live" digitally only that had the audio of his Spacebomb Studios Live Performance on Disc 1 and the audio of the music videos he had done with the help of The Wild Honey Pie on Disc 2. He released the digital album to help the ease of missing concerts during the pandemic as they are closed and to help relive Live Concerts.

In May 11 of 2021, he announced that his new EP "On Top" will be releasing in July 23rd, and he released a new single which is the title track "On Top" only available digitally. Produced by the same people that recorded and produced and mixed "Grand Plan"
