Korean name: Daesung Japanese stage name: D-Lite (ディライト) Kang Dae-sung (Korean: 강대성; born April 26, 1989, Itaewon, South Korea) is a South Korean singer and a member of K-Pop group Big Bang. He attended high school (KyeongIn High School) but he dropped out and focused more on Big Bang. Then in late 2008, he focused on college entrance exams. He attended Kyunghee University in Seoul. Since his debut, he has released solo singles, performed in musicals, acted in a drama What's Up, and became a member of reality-variety television series Family Outing and talk show Night After Night. On December 26, YG Entertainment announced that Daesung has decided to end his contract with the label but he still a member of BIGBANG.
