Professionally known as DJ Richie Rich (and occasionally referred to as Daddy Rich), Rich Lawson is a New York DJ who formed 3rd Bass with Prime Minister Pete Nice and rapper MC Serch from 1987-1992. 3rd Bass found international success over two albums ("The Cactus Album", "Derelicts Of Dialect") and numerous singles, after which the trio disbanded in 1992 due to conflict within the group. Rich and Pete Nice continued briefly as a duo, putting out an album in 1992.
