The Swedish orchestra Curt Haagers started playing dance music at dance venues as full-time professionals in 1971. But, before that year smaller steps were taken, with a first name shift in 1966 from "Five Spots" to "Curt Haagers med Else-Marie". Another and second step was "Curt Haagers med Robert". Finally, it was just "Curt Haagers", and so it remained until December 31, 2006. When a last gig 40 years after the orchestra's first name shift in 1966 ended it all. But during those 40 years, Curt Haagers had success and also reached up to the number one on the charts with different hits in all of the Scandinavian countries. The last members in the orchestra in 2006 were: Git Persson - vocals, guitar, keyboards, accordion; Hans Ramberg - drums; Jan Frealdsson - keyboards, accordion; Jan-Erik Knudsen - keyboards, trumpet, backing vocals, saxophone, guitar; Roger Lundgren - guitar.
