Cosmic Cadence

Cosmic Cadence is the work of Canadian ambient / electronic music producer and soundscape artist Rolf Oswald. After releasing his first album in CD format entitled "Event Horizon" in 1992, Rolf went on to compose and produce electronic music soundtracks for the Manitoba Planetarium in Canada, and the Minneapolis Planetarium in the United States. During the period of 1994 through 1998, soundtracks were produced for 9 planetarium shows, all recorded on 4 track reel to reel, except during the last year of production in 1998, soundtracks were recorded on digital audio tape (DAT). "Red Shift" was released in digital format in 2014 as a compilation album featuring some of the title tracks from the planetarium shows. Rolf returned to the music scene in 2014 after a long hiatus and began composing and producing under the artist name of Cosmic Cadence. Producing electronic music in several genres including ambient, electronica, psybient and drone, Cosmic Cadence also experiments with field recordings and digital sound design that are incorporated in most compositions. Cosmic Cadence is an active member of the Ambient Online Community (ambientonline.org), and frequently releases his music on the Legacy of Thought label.
