The Columbia Symphony Orchestra was an orchestra formed by Columbia Records, also Columbia Records used the name Columbia Symphony Orchestra for all sorts of pick-up ensembles (eg. members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic), or the term Columbia Symphony Orchestra was also used when, for contractual reasons, another orchestra could not appear under its own name.

For the Chorus, use separately Columbia Symphony Chorus.
