Codec & Flexor

About

Sven Zalac (Codec) & Mathias Freund (Flexor) The band Codec & Flexor first played in together was the independent Rock band "Atomic Comic" founded in 1992. During the following year they had their first gigs on stage. When Codec was looking for new possibilities in 1993 he discovered his passion for electronic music and decided to go his own way. At the same time Flexor became the leadsinger of the newlie band "De Luxe". While "De Luxe" was working on new songs, Codec got started as a Techno live act. In 1996/97 "De Luxe" realised that Codec could bring the missing creative spark to reach their goals and so he returned to the band after "De Luxe" had won in a competition. They performed at several festivals throughout Germany like "Rock Am Ring", "Umsonst Und Draußen" and "Folklore Im Garten". A demo 5 track named "De Luxe" was produced in 2000. But little later Codec & Flexor realised that they would not be able to realise their ideas in music in the present formation. "De Luxe" finally split up and Codec & Flexor initiated their own concept to create and perform their songs together. 2001 they signed at Forte records. The first product of this relationship is the maxi "Crazy Girls". Their first LP was released in the beginning of 2002.
