Clayton started his career with UK Hip Hop / Breaks pioneers The Blapps Posse and set up a label with Jason from Blapps called Pure Bhoomie, which had underground hits with (There Was) Something Going On and La Chita sampling Madonna which later got released on Big Life.
Clayton also worked with Nice 'N' Ripe/FX Promotions in the mid '90s where he teamed up with DJ Deller to form Industry Standard, producing the club hit [url=https://www.discogs.com/master/131886]What You Want[/url], which became a top selling single, signed to Northwestside (Satellite (11)) and XL Recordings hitting the national charts at nº 21 and nº 34 .
After a break from the music, Clayton Mitchell is now coming back as “IndustryStandardUK”.
