    Blues and rhythm and blues singer and guitarist (and occasional zydeco accordionist), born February 27, 1911 in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana, USA, died July 24, 1986 in Beaumont, Texas, USA.

    Garlow made recordings between 1949 and c. 1958, with a hit with "Bon Ton Roula" in 1950; often acting as studio musician in J.D. Miller's Crowley, La., studio. He worked mainly outside music from the late 1950s, but re-emerged for the 1984 San Francisco Blues Festival and made a few more festival appearances before his death.
