About

Chocolat's were a musical group of tropical and Caribbean genres formed by French and Belgians, active in the period between about 1975 and 1985, and since 2014.

The group was created by the record producer Marcel De Keukeleire with Salvatore Acquaviva and Dominique Knaepen, who were local singers from Roubaix (France) to commercialize their success Brasilia Carnaval, recorded and mixed with their artistic ensemble. This piece was a worldwide hit and became the theme song of a popular French television program conducted by Guy Lux, Ring Parade. The album sold 6,830,000 copies.

In Brasilia Carnaval other successes followed, but the fame of the Chocolat's died in the mid-eighties. Some of their tracks and rhythms were taken up in the eighties and nineties by the group La Compagnie Créole.

In 2014, they announce the release of the new album titled "CHOCOLAT’S" including the hits that have been remixed: like Brasilia carnival, Rytmo tropical, El bimbo
And new titles like: Levantado las manos, La madrugada, La copa del mundo
