Charly Danone

He is one of the artists of the Euro disco movement of the 80s. The record shop Blanco y Negro, founded in 1978 in Barcelona and dedicated to the sale of imported records, decided to create its own record label in 1983 and to launch an artist of its own. Charly Danone recorded his first album in the Aura studios in Barcelona, with production by Felix B. Mangione, called ‘Ain't got a chance’. At that time, the Euro-dance movement was beginning. The success was surprising and even went beyond expectations. Charly Danone was directly involved in performances in Italy and Spain, especially in Catalonia, where this style of music was gaining momentum. Three more 12" followed: ‘Ed io ti trovero’ (1986), ‘You can do it’ (1987) and ‘Take to bed’.
