American country music singer, guitarist and songwriter. Born on July 7, 1927 in Henagar, Alabama. Died on January 26, 2011 at his home in Wartrace, Tennessee (USA). Louvin is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and was the oldest living member of the Grand Ole Opry, having been made a member in 1955. Brother of Ira Louvin, cousin of John D. Loudermilk.
