Chapeaumelon

As a new arrival in 2002, with [a=Jacques Dion] (brother of [a=Céline Dion] as manager , the band is made up of Charles Boyer (guitars and voice), François Therriault (guitar and voice), Francis Lareau (bass) and Jean-Pierre Décarie (drums and voice). The four members of the group met at the Cégep of Drummondville , in Québec , before founding the group in 2001. The majority of the songs are compositions by the band. They notably won the "Coup de Coeur" award when they appeared at the Granby Song Festival. With their kinda rock songs and lyrics in French, they mainly sound European style . Style like [a=Renaud] and [a=Plastic Bertrand] . On the other hand, their approach makes a lot of reference to British bands from the 60s and 70s.
