Swedish conductor, professor and music director, born on December 16, 1961 in Västerås. She was trained as a conductor and church musician at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm 1989–1991. She has also been a guest conductor at the Folkoperan, Stora Teatern in Gothenburg and Norrlandsoperan. Between 1994 and 1998, she was chief conductor at the Music Theater in Värmland. In the years 1998–2007, Rydinger was a senior lecturer in orchestral conducting at the Stockholm Academy of Music. On October 15, 2007, Rydinger was appointed professor of orchestral conducting at the Stockholm Academy of Music. She thereby became the first woman in the Nordic countries in her position. She was appointed acting rector of the same university from 1 July 2012 and was later appointed rector for the period 5 June 2013 to 4 June 2019. She was 1988–2009 conductor of Allmänna Sången. Since 2008, she leads Orphei Drängar. On 19 June 2010, Rydinger led the tribute choir representing the Swedish Choir Association, which courted Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel at their wedding.
