Catastrophe Ballet

About

German dark rock and electro band, founded in 1989 in Bitburg, fronted by Eric Burton and later active in Hamburg. During he 1990's dark music hype, the band belongs to the inner circle of influential bands of the decade. Through the years, the band supports many important acts as Die Krupps, Ministry, Phillip Boa and The Cassandra Complex. The latter leads to a successful cooperation with producer Rodney Orpheus in 1993. During the rest of the decade, the band publishes various albums and the band gains a cult status.

But the musical output of the band decreases due to many side projects and work in the early 2000's. The band starts more and more to exist only for live events. After several years of inactivity, a concert in 2013 sets the final point of the band's biography.
