Carole Rieussec (born in Madagascar) is a French composer currently living in Frontignan (Hérault, France).
Rieussec learned electroacoustic composition at "Conservatoire national de région de Lyon" under Denis Dufour, before attending composition courses at IRCAM with Philippe Manoury, Jeannine Richer, and Horia Ratiu.
In 1988, she met Luc Ferrari and began working at IRCAM. Rieussec founded Kristoff K.Roll with Jean-Christophe Camps in 1990.
Since 1990, she has collaborated with choregraphers and film directors to compose stage or screen music. Rieussec also founded "Sonorités : le festival du texte au son" in Montpellier with Anne-James Chaton in 2000.
