Carlos Arellano

Mexican composer (Puebla). Musician since 1974, initially playing closest to his heart songs, then folly to sound only themselves. Rock the bolero, the most tender ballad blues to pass his work. "Wise with words and rich in nuances," says the Mexican writer Jose Agustin in the presentation of the first album entitled Domestic Songs Arellano 1987. Recognized as influence Bob Dylan among others, and the romantic vein endorses the essential Alvaro Carrillo (Oaxacan composer). His career has taken him almost the entire country, participating in Universities, Institutes of Culture, cafes, clubs and bars. For six months of 1984, he toured much of Spain as a street musician. He participated in the first and second Festival of Popular Music Mexicana in Los Angeles California in 1991 and 1992. This past year was a fellow of the Trust for the US-Mexico Cultural States with Poblanos project in New York: chronic and music through the radio . In 1995 he composed 13 songs about physics as part of an educational project for high schools, sponsored by the Ministry of Education. In May 1999 and 2002 occurred in the city of New York the show Those who leave: songs of migration.
