Carl or Calle Öst, born on January 19, 1908 in Alfta, Hälsingland and died on February 13, 1988 in Edsbyn, Hälsingland, was a Swedish singer and musician (violin and guitar). He grew up in a family that was imbued with music. He was a son of the nationwidely known fiddler [a=Jon-Erik Öst], a brother of both musicians [a=Eric Öst] and [a=Eddy Öst] and singer [a=Anna Öst].
