    Carl Stalling (born November 10, 1891, Lexington, Missouri – died November 29, 1972, Los Angeles, California) was an American composer, voice actor and arranger for music in animated films. He is most closely associated with the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts produced by Warner Bros., where he averaged one complete score each week, for 22 years. He composed for The Ub Iewerks Studio and was an early Disney composer and provided Mickey Mouse's speaking voice for 1929's The Karnival Kid.
