    Standards singer. Born in Omaha, Nebraska but moved to Los Angeles to pursue music at age 18. Coccomo received the nickname “The Singin’ Sicilian” from Frank Sinatra. Following a Korean War stint, Coccomo was with the Ken Darby Singers (1949-1959) appearing on Fox film scores such as [i]The Wizard of Oz[/i] and [i]Three Coins In The Fountain[/i]. As a solo singer, Coccomo recorded for Starlight, Liberty and Capitol. A resurgence of interest in his music has been prompted by its use in TV. ("American Horror Story” (FX), “12 Monkeys” (Syfy),“Graves” (EPIX).
