Buck Ormsby (born October 29, 1941 - died October 29, 2016, Tepic, Mexico) was an American bassist, songwriter and producer.
He originally played steel guitar until he was recruited by The Wailers and switched to bass guitar. When The Wailers got into a dispute with their East Coast record company, Ormsby came up with the idea of forming the band’s own label, undefined. In the early 1980's, he revived Etiquette Records and spent the rest of his life devoted to the craft and the business of music.
