Bruut! Is an energetic jazz quartet consisting of Maarten Hogenhuis (saxophone), Folkert Oosterbeek (hammond organ), Thomas Rolff (double bass) and Felix Schlarmann (drums). In 2012 they release their debut album which gets enthusiastic reactions. Their infectious jazz with a swinging Hammond organ and powerful saxophone is a hit. The combo plays at Noorderslag and North Sea Jazz in the Netherlands and is touring around the world, including Japan, Burkina Faso and South Africa. In November 2013 the second album Fire! from. In 2023 early bassist Thomas Rolff decided to take a different path after fourteen years of loyal service, which not only provided the band with a new bassist, but also a completely new sound.
