Sir Bruce Forsyth CBE (born 22 February 1928, London, England – died 18 August 2017) was a British entertainer and presenter.
His career spanned 70 years, in which he went from struggling variety performer to Saturday night TV stardom.
Father of singer Julie Forsyth and actress Laura Forsyth. Married to singer Penny Calvert from 1953 until their divorce in 1973.
