Born 27 January 1930 in Orlová (former Czechoslovakia), died 30 December 2000 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
He was appointed leader of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in Bratislava in 1957 and in 1960 he established the Slovak Chamber Orchestra.
