Bob Marley & The Wailers

Jamaican reggae band fronted by Bob Marley but initially formed as The Wailers vocal group, with [a=peter tosh] & [a=bunny wailer], then adding the rhythm section of [a=the upsetters] (Aston "Family Man" Barrett & Carlton Barrett). In 1974, after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer departures, producer [a=chris blackwell] renamed the group Bob Marley & The Wailers (even if some previous records were released with this name) and marketed it as a rock band (vocalist + instrumental band). After Bob Marley's death in 1981, The Wailers continue to record with some artists like [a=alpha blondy], Joe Yamanaka, Donald And Lulu Davidson or Winston Jarrett. Some members of The Wailers formed [a=the wailers band] in 1989.
