American actor, dancer, choreographer, director, screenwriter and film editor.

Married to Joan McCracken (1952-1959) and Gwen Verdon (1960).
Winner of eight Tony Awards for choreography between 1955 and 1986, as well as one for direction. He was nominated for an Academy Award four times, winning for his direction of Cabaret. He is the only person ever to have won Oscar, Emmy and Tony awards in the same year (1973). His third wife, Broadway legend Gwen Verdon, helped to define and perfect his unique and distinct style simply referred to today as "Fosse."
