Bob Brady & The Con Chords

Blue eyed soul band Formed in Baltimore in 1964 The original lineup of the Con Chords did not actually feature Brady; the group was instead fronted by [b]George Layfield[/b], who was backed by guitarist [b]Dennis Zwirlein[/b], bassist [b]Vince Sansone[/b], keyboardist [b]Jim Samuel[/b], trumpeter [b]Lou Patti[/b], saxophonist [b]Dave Wladkowski[/b], and drummer [b]John Drexler[/b]. Brady joined in early 1965, as well as trombonist [b]Larry Sprigg[/b]. Lou Patti was replaced from multi-instrumentalist [b]Tony Constantino[/b]. After their third single release, "I Love You Baby" the group sacked Sansone and Drexler, adding bassist [b]Tommy Thompson[/b] and drummer [b]Marty Fisher[/b]. They played their final show on 29 December 1970. Several members later reunited in the group [b]PennLucy[/b], while Brady went on to work for music consulting firm A.I.R.
