Bo Aurehl

Swedish music producer, conductor, music educator, writer and concert hall manager, born September 4, 1954. He is educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and obtained a music teacher's degree and a choir education degree in 1978. He has studied musicology at the universities of Uppsala and Lund, as well as at the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét in Hungary, where he also taught solfège (early learning) and conducting. Between 1978 and 1987, Bo Aurehl was a music teacher and choir director in [a2770119] in Stockholm. In the years 1987–1988 he was choirmaster at [a5320768]. Since 1993 he runs the company Habanera. In 1981, Aurehl founded [a6839410], which he led until 1987, and in 1988 he started [a2273047], which he led until 2004. In 2005, he founded [a9447178]. With this choir he won first prize in the international choir competition in Pécs, Hungary, May 2013, the Grand Prix in Caorle, May 2015 and the Grand Prix in Budapest, July 2016 In the years 2012 - 2015, Bo Aurehl was CEO and concert hall director of Helsingborg's Symphony Orchestra and Concert Hall. Since 1994, Bo Aurehl has been organizing the annual Advent concert in the Blue Hall in Stockholm's City Hall.
