Blinders was a band from Louisville, Kentucky who played amped-up rhythm and blues with punk spirit. They shared bills with all the local punk bands. The original lineup included brothers Albert Hall (Michael O'Bannon) and E.A. Winkler (Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon), Fret Hondo, De Carr, and harmonica player Jerry McGeorge. This formation recorded and self-released one 7" in 1979. The band ditched the harmonica player and released a second 7" on Louisville record label Hit A Note in 1980. Eventually De Carr and Fred Hondo left the band, and the O'Bannon brothers and a new rhythm section relocated Blinders to Philadelphia for a time. This lineup released the self-titled 10" mini-album, also on Hit A Note.
