Billy T.K. Sr. (born Wiremu Te Kahika, better known as Billy Te Kahika - 1949 in Palmerston North, New Zealand) is a New Zealand Māori musician, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. He has been nicknamed the "Māori Jimi Hendrix".
He was a member of The Human Instinct between 1969-1972 and after his departure from the band he started a solo career including a spell with Billy T.K. & Powerhouse. Billy T.K. has two sons and is the father of Billy TK Jnr and Mara TK.
