American jazz saxophonist. Born : January 03, 1909. Died : September 27, 1982 in New York City, New York. Most well known as 2nd Tenor with The Ink Spots from 1943-1951. Worked with Billie Holiday, Count Basie, Lucky Millinder, Buddy Johnson, Teddy Wilson and others.
