    The son of a Manchester police officer, Mark Berry, known to his friends as Bez made his name as a dancer for early 90s band The Happy Mondays. Persuaded to get on stage by long time friend Shaun Ryder during an early Mondays gig, Bez proved his worth when his dance moves (the product of overindulgence in drugs) sent the crowds wild. He was initiated as a permanent member of the band.
