French jazz pianist, composer and teacher, born 23 October 1922 in Epinal, France, died 7 September 1976 in Philadelphia, Pa. Played with Django Reinhardt and others, recorded in Basel with Rex Stewart in 1948 and in Paris with Bill Coleman, Don Byas a.o. in 1949. Moved to the USA in 1954, settled in Philadelphia, working mainly in clubs there.
