Drum & Bass producer and DJ from Helsinki, Finland I've been making music on and off since the turn of the millennium, but only recently got a new drive going from the DJ side of things. As is known in the rave scene, the DJ'ing and production go very much hand in hand so this has brought my productions to a new level as well. After all, understanding what people want to dance is essential to any dance driven music. My love affair with drum and bass started in 2000. Adam F's 'Circles' was the very first dnb track that really caught my attention. I was reading 'Akira' manga at the time and it just seemed like the perfect soundtrack for the graphic novel! Pretty soon after that I wanted to try making music by myself and found the world of trackers. It was just amazing how you could be in charge of all the aspects of a track - drums, bass, melodies... I had little understanding of music theory or the techical aspects of it all but all that was secondary to the joy of discovery. 'Usva' (:mist, fog in finnish) was a project name for a crew formed between me and 2 friends who had similiar tastes in music. It was a time of learning and education, and a few years later when we moved to different cities we buried that project. In 2009 I finally got the courage and will to let other people hear my sound, and the 9 years of 'training' are starting to pay off. My first release 'Tears Of Jah' on Santorin is still one of the best tracks I have done.
