Banda De Pífanos De Caruaru

Brazilian traditional band from Caruaru, a city in the region of Alagoas, Pernambuco state. The musicians play several self made instruments like drums and "pífanos" (fife flutes). Founded in 1924 by brothers Manoel and Benedito Clarindo Biano, however recorded their first album in 1971. The actual line-up is formed by founders' sons and nephews.
