Ba Cissoko

About

Ba Cissoko is a Guinean world music band founded in 1999, now featuring four members, two of which are playing the traditional Kora harp. The other two band members play percussion and bass, respectively. The electronically enhanced Kora harps produce a sound somewhat similar to that of fast guitar tapping, and hence the band's sound has been described as "West Africa meets Jimi Hendrix".
