Asphodela - atmospheric electronics, dark ambient/tribal IDM from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Asphodela's goal is to create atmospheric music that can serve as a basis for the listener's introspection, finding their place in the world and mental travel between eras and various forces that create our reality. Each release of the project seeks to convey different emotions and states, so they are expressed by elements of different styles. In general, Asphodela's aesthetic can be described as a mixture of esoteric and science fiction, elements of ethnic music and modern electronic sound, analog synthesizers, digital signals and acoustic instruments. The name ASPHODELA is taken from ancient Greek mythology: asphodel is a flowering plant growing in the Mediterranean. According to myths, they grew abundantly in the meadows of the underworld - Hades - and were a symbol of oblivion.
