Art Tatum Trio

With Art Tatum on piano, the first Trio formed in 1944 with guitarist Tiny Grimes and bassist Slam Stewart. Although recordings with the Trio were popular, he abandoned the Trio that same year. It would be years later in 1951 when he formed the second Trio, this time with guitarist Everett Barksdale, and began recording again in 1952.
