The Cuban symphonic progressive rock band Anima Mundi came alive in the spring of 1996. They recorded three demos during the early years (Eterno Cauce (1997), Tierra Invisible (1998) and Más Allá (1999)) and due to live shows, broadcasting and hard promotional work, they quickly became an essential brand among the alternative Cuban national music scene. With the debut album Septentrión (2001), the band had the chance to play successfully throughout the island in front of a huge amount of fans and that increased their awareness level and based on this success, their international business started. With the second album Jagannath Orbit (2008), the band not only turned to their original sound but began being distributed throughout the world. From their third album The Way (2010) on, the band has regularly released music, played live worldwide and have become a figurehead in the South American prog scene.
